MUSIC NETWORK RELEASES NEW SONG TO BENEFIT 9-11 VICTIM’S FAMILIES
PEORIA, IL — The Music Discovery Network releases internationally a song by Houston singer/songwriter Anita Kruse. If We Can Fly To The Moon is a moving tribute to the September 11th tragedy. One hundred percent of the profits from the sales of the single benefit those communities impacted by the events of September 11th.
The song features Anita’s wonderful and passionate lead and the background vocals of 32 children, including many of Kruse’s music students, some as young as 6 years old. A number of independent musicians, feature vocalists and well-known Houston producer, Robbie Parrish, as well as Tom Jaber, Choir Director at Rice University, donated their time and talent toward the success of the project.
“The events of September 11th have prompted all of us to rethink our lives, priorities and future,” said Kruse. “As an artist, I was inspired to write If We Can Fly To The Moon as a message of hope and understanding to the tragedies that befell our country.”
A classically trained pianist, Kruse has worked as a soloist and accompanist performing throughout the United States. She has recorded five CDs. In addition to performing nationwide, she continues to live and work in Houston as a piano and songwriting instructor for both children and adults.
