Rick Marcel
Born April 15,1966 in Rochester, NY, playing music since he was 10 years old, both guitar and bass as well as vocals. He formed his band, Radiance, in 1981, and, in 1985, he dispanded the group and moved to Minneapolis to work with Gospel Recording Artists, The Steeles.
While in Minneaplolis, he worked with the Twin City Heavy weights: Prince, Tony La Mans, Mavis Staples and many more. In 1990, Rick relocated to Los Angeles where did session work and fine tuned his production skills. In 1993, he moved to Houston where he climbed to the top of the list of Who’s Who in Houston in the music scene. The band Radiance was reformed and is now a highly sought after dance band for both private and public appearances.
He is a group member of the Abundant Life Cathedral Church and also performs live at some of Houston’s hottest clubs. His wife Nicole, a phenomenal vocalist, sings in the group with the other 7 pieces. Rick holds down the guitar and vocals as well.
