Mick Byrd has recently released his debut CD entitled "No Frills." From his experience as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist in the rock group Jade, Mick has expanded his musical repertoire into a surprising, eclectic mix of rock, folk, blues, and country with even a hint of classical/jazz influence.
Mick is well-known as a powerful, innovative songwriter with his "Afternoon At The Wall" winning a national songwriting award from Billboard Magazine. Additionally, Mick is well known in the Midwest for his intimate live performances. Mick has appeared at the University of Missouri, Columbia and on the St. Louis city cable TV live music show, "Acoustic Cafe," filmed at St. Louis University. He has played extensively in the St. Louis area in venues as varied as cozy little coffeehouses all the way to concerts at the Focal Point Theater, one of Mick's favorite hangouts. Mick has crisscrossed Missouri, as well as playing to appreciative audiences in Little Rock and Dallas.
